Conceived as a contemporary counterpoint to an existing traditional residence, this Garden City pool house distills familiar gabled forms into a lighter, more modern composition. Horizontal Ipe slats temper the western sun, casting shifting patterns of shade across an open, airy structure whose roof appears to float without visible trusses. Within its compact footprint, a kitchen, lounge, gym, home theater, and golf simulator create a fully realized extension of family life. The result is an intimate yet expansive retreat, seamlessly joining architecture, landscape, and poolside living.
