We were commissioned to renovate this existing north shore home, a developer speck house with poorly proportioned trim & finishes on both the interior and exterior. We completely reskinned the house, made a major extension, & re-arranged much of the 2nd floor layout.

Old Westbury Shingle Style residence with cedar shingle siding, gambrel roof forms, mahogany garage doors, entry portico, and curved driveway. — The reworked arrival court and exterior renovation bring order and proportion to this Old Westbury residence, pairing cedar shingles, traditional rooflines, and warm garage doors with a more gracious entry sequence. The result supports a luxury residential renovation without losing the quiet familiarity of Shingle Style architecture.

Upon entering the site, guests enter through a newly configured driveway and court to a front portico replaced in toto. A warren of rooms over the garage became a great room, and the master suite was completely reconfigured and extended into a new addition in the rear of the shingle-style home. New mahogany garage doors, English brass light fixtures, new pergolas and a pool house, complement the extensive landscaping and interior improvements.
